I must say, it has been a long week. I have driven around 300 miles (and still have to drive to t.c.) and have been in around 6 cities in just 4 days. And no it wasn't a vacation. It was for job interviews! After all the interviews and driving (and sweating since my car lacks air conditioning and doesn't support windows down all that well either) I made it back to mt. p to teach my last Spanish 101 class and go out with the awesome girls I have been working with at OIE all year. Silly us have never gotten together on thursdays until tonight so we never realized how fun it is when we all hang out!! All year long we had been sitting bored on thursdays and we couldve been torturing customers at the cabin with our karaoke. We had a few drinks (some a few more than others) and sang 3 songs, I must say we were the restaurants favorite by the end of the night. We sang Bon Jovi: Living on a Prayer, Bohemian Rhapsody (which we got complimented on as being some of the best karaokiers of that song by a waitress who hears people singing it all the time) and of course a final song of Spice Girls...this had to go last because we had to wait for Jessica to get enough beers in her system that she would actually get up and sing. It was a great time! We even got the last one on video...awesome! Some of my favorite parts of the night (besides the karaoke) were Melu walking in during our version on Bohemian Rhapsody and being shocked to see me up there, Maria telling us how she is going to save the environment by using the handdryer when she goes to the bathroom instead of the toilet, michelle getting drunk off of pepsi cola, jessica being creepy and taking the last cabin stick while the waitress was taking the plate away, and katie trying to force everyone to drink more..hahaha. There was a booth next to us that kept being filled with odd people...first with an older couple made up of a man in his late 40's and a woman in her 60's who sat and listened to our conversations creepily while doing sudoku's (WEIRDOS!!!!) and then two men who just stared at us...i mean i cant blame them..we are hot and amazing but for real...stop being a creeper. all in all it was a great night at the Cabin, I even scratched my name in to the table. oh and if u want..the video of our rendition of spice girls is on my facebook site...
to good friends and good nights! love it.
