so i've just found out that one of my longtime friend's husband is sitting in a hospital bed, hooked up to all kinds of machines, possibly paralyzed from the waist down...and why? because he was driving a motorcycle drunk.
He is very lucky to be alive, he was saved from the river he was thrown into after hitting a wall by three navy men who where on their way home (he too is in the navy).
I feel for my friend and pray that she stays strong and healthy (she is pregnant).
I am not writing this to make people sad, but in hopes that others who read this will remember, driving drunk is not the answer!!! give your keys to someone else, spend the extra buck to take the taxi, be responsible!
I know we have all drove drunk or at least seriously considered it, so please please please next time..DON'T do it.
also i ask that you pray (to whatever god you believe in) for my friend, her husband, her daughter and their unborn baby.
