graduated!

yup thats right...i am officially CMU alumni!!!! i graduated on saturday! it was a nice day, aaron came from davison, my parents came down from t.c. and my sister beth and brother-in-law mike came from wisconsin. they even brought diana with them, the exchange student from Germany who lived with my family in 2000!! she is doing an internship in chicago and they picked her up to come on their way! it was so awesome to see everyone especially Diana who I haven't seen for four years!! erin and tom of course couldnt come because they were in poland but I guess i can forgive them... instead of trying to fight the crowds at the restaurants in mt.p i opted for us to have a lunch at my apartment. it was buffet style and made by my mom! it was delicious, italian chicken, meatloaf, salad, rice and of course my absolute favorite, green bean casserole!!! we left early for graduation to take pictures at the seal and the CMU sign and even made a special stop at the sbx to buy mounting tape so that we could mount my mountain goat to my graduation hat. yup. we got him to stick on top of my cap standing up and i wore him there the whole way thru graduation!! since M.G. sort of made the cap heavy i ended up double side taping the cap to my head as well..haha no one could tell though. graduation itself was fine, hot, boring and long, but i got to sit next to two very good friends and a few rows behind many others! my shoes gave me huge blisters in the 2 hours i was wearing them and i walked out with holes bleeding on my feet. yuck!
mom and dad left after graduation with some of my big furniture in a trailer and the rest of us stayed to party! we ate around 50 jellos shots between 4-5 of us and then made our ways to the bars (with a designated driver of course) we had a good time that night and even got to hang out with a bunch of mine and aaron's friends in the end! it was a great end to a graduation day.
the best part of course was heading back to the apartment and all of us sleeping on the floor because all the furniture was gone..haahah.
it was a great weekend though and i am proud to be a CMU alumni. now all i have to do is go out and buy the sweatshirt to make it official! (my aunt said she would only buy me a sweatshirt as a gift if it said cMU Alumni)
now i am here in davison, with boxes all over aaron's (and now my) apartment.
