Happy Fourth!

First of all, my apologies for blogging-while-sad, it should be illegal... i don't believe in deleting posts though so it stands as posted.
I did wake up in a much better mood with fresh air blowing through my bedroom window. i have the apartment all to myself since aaron spent the night in ann arbor so i decided to blast some julieta vinegas (my favorite singer latina) and bake a hummingbird cake (banana/pineapple cake) it is finishing up now and i just have to wait for it to cool to apply the cream cheese frosting... homemade of course!! i hope it tastes as amazing as it smells.
I hope everyone has a great day, even everyone that is working for time and a half today like i have done for SO many years...this is my first 4th off in about 4 years (not counting the one i spent in chile since there were no celebrations in chile and it was winter there..)
ok well happy 4th.
